How to Receive Bitcoin (BTC) From Another Person or BTC Wallet te GDAX

Wondering how to receive Bitcoin into your GDAX account? Wij were too. Seems like a pretty plain thing, right? Wij went on to their help section and attempted to find it, and I vereiste say, it wasn’t very helpful. Shouldn’t there be an article ter the FAQ entitled “How to facilitate a Bitcoin to Bitcoin transfer?” Wij thought so.
A Google search exposed this article, which tells you to go to gdax.com/trade, and then choose a trading pair with the currency you wish to deposit from the “Select Product” menukaart. The only problem is that there is no BTC to BTC option. The article goes on to say that you should select the deposit button at the top left, choose the right type of address, (e.g.) BTC address, ETH address or LTC address and simply copy the account address shown.
Very first off, while wij did see the BTC option on our account, wij did not see ETH or LTC. This might be explained by the fact that wij don’t have any ETH or LTC ter our GDAX account. Ok, wij can overeenkomst with that and chalk it up to poor documentation on the GDAX end. However, when I went into the BTC section to get the BTC address to copy it, I wasgoed interrupted and had to get out of that screen momentarily. When I went back into it, I noticed that the “hash” or address wasgoed distinctly different from the very first time I eyed it. (Perceptive, huh?). Why? “Isn’t this our voortdurend Bitcoin address”, I thought… Why would it switch? This made us a little awkward.
Wij determined to call the GDAX Technical Support Phone Number at (855) 577-1727. The representative voorwaarde have bot brand fresh, because he seemed pretty clueless. Undoubtedly not a confidence builder! He advised us to use our Coinbase account to facilitate the BTC to BTC transfer ter lieu of a ongezouten to GDAX transfer. I explained that wij didn’t want to do that, and that I dreamed to do it directly into GDAX, Bitcoin to Bitcoin. He didn’t seem to know how to do that. So, then, I explained the aforementioned process above, to which he basically said, “yea, you could do it that way too”. More confidence lost. (queue SAD emoticon).
I take it that GDAX is simply generating a unique hash each time you go into that screen, which is linked to your actual Bitcoin wallet address. How else would one explain the address switching every time you go into it? Te any case, ter the end, wij determined to facilitate the BTC to BTC transfer using Coinbase, out of an abundance of caution. Wow. This is truly the WILD, WILD Westelijk! Feel free to comment below on your practice.
